We’re entering a doubtful age of artificial intelligence. AI’s fast‐growing capabilities can chip away at human agency, diminishing people’s belief in themselves and in their ability to grow and flourish. But we are not yet at a stage where AI can autonomously improve its own hardware and software, or outpace collective human intelligence. That means we still have room and responsibility to develop our own capabilities and to shape the technologies being built around us.
